By accessing or using SkyBrief ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use SkyBrief. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States.

SkyBrief is a flight planning reference tool only. It is not a substitute for an official preflight weather briefing. Before any flight, you must obtain an official briefing from an FAA-approved source such as 1800wxbrief.com or Leidos Flight Service.
Weather data displayed by SkyBrief may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. The pilot in command is solely responsible for the safe conduct of every flight. SkyBrief and its operators accept no responsibility for decisions made based on information displayed in the app.
The service
SkyBrief provides a dashboard that aggregates publicly available aviation weather and safety data including METARs, TAFs, NOTAMs, SIGMETs, AIRMETs, winds aloft forecasts, and TFRs. This data is sourced from NOAA, the FAA, and other public sources.
We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data displayed. Data is provided "as is" from government sources and may be subject to delays or errors outside our control.
Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us immediately at hello@skybrief.flights.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or engage in fraudulent activity.
Subscriptions and billing
SkyBrief offers a free tier and a paid Pro tier. Pro subscriptions are available on monthly, annual, and lifetime plans.
Monthly and annual plans
Recurring subscriptions are billed in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain Pro access until then. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods.
Lifetime plan
The lifetime plan is a one-time purchase that grants Pro access for as long as SkyBrief operates. No refunds are offered on lifetime purchases except where required by law.
Refunds
We offer refunds within 7 days of initial purchase if you are not satisfied. After 7 days, refunds are issued at our discretion. To request a refund, email hello@skybrief.flights.
Price changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Existing subscribers will be given at least 30 days notice before any price increase takes effect.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use SkyBrief for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the service
- Share your account credentials with others
- Use automated tools to access the service in a way that places unreasonable load on our infrastructure
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or organization
- Attempt to circumvent any access controls or security measures
Intellectual property
SkyBrief and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Aviation weather data displayed in the app is sourced from public government sources (NOAA, FAA) and is not our proprietary content.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from SkyBrief without our written permission.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Oregon law, SkyBrief and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of SkyBrief shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusions of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
Disclaimer of warranties
SkyBrief is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Service availability
We aim to keep SkyBrief available at all times but do not guarantee uptime. We may suspend or discontinue the service at any time, with or without notice. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will provide at least 30 days notice by email and offer prorated refunds on annual and lifetime plans.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Oregon.
